Most of the world knows or at least has heard of the name Kim Kardashian. Kim Kardashian, along with her siblings Kris, Kourtney, Khloe, Kendall, Kylie and Rob, have built a multimillion dollar empire. It was not until July 31st, 2017 when Bathy Barbashian came forward to the media as the long-lost sister of the Kardashian family.
Bathy Barbashian was born on March 17th, 1970 in Calabasas, California to Kris Jenner and Robert Kardashian. At the young age of 16, Kris Jenner decided to secretly give up Bathy for adoption. Bathy’s birth name was Kathy Kardashian, before she legally changed it in 1990. Judith Moore, Bathy’s adoptive mother, was working as a nurse in the hospital Bathy was born in. Judith and her husband, John Moore, decided to adopt Bathy and raise her in their home in Compton, California. In high school, Bathy experimented with drugs and alcohol and even joined a new and growing street gang based in Compton, the Bloods. As a tribute to her newly found gang, at the age of twenty, Kathy Kardashian legally changed her name to Bathy Barbashian.
Throughout her life, Judith and John were open and honest to Bathy about her adoption. When Bathy turned eighteen, she decided to hire a private investigator to find her birth parents. After finding out she belonged to a powerful and wealthy family, Bathy took to the media to expose Kris Jenner’s life held secret. On a E! network 2 hour long special called “Finding Bathy” that aired on August 3rd, 2017, the Kardashian family agreed to have a family reunion on live television. After the special’s airing, Bathy and her parents moved in with Kim Kardashian, her husband, Kanye West, and their children North West, Saint West, and Chicago West. Bathy now resides in Calabasas where she currently works as Kim’s assistant manager.
