Bigfoot , also known as Sasquatch, is described by witnesses as being large, weighing in excess of 700 pounds. He is described as having human-like qualities because he has been spotted standing up like humans do. Some believe he looks like a bear because of his thick coat of brownish fur. Many photographs of Bigfoot are available on the Internet.
There have been reports of a large, hairy ape-like creature all over North America, and Canada as well. There are rumors that Bigfoot has been recently inhabiting forests in the Northwest and West of the Rockies.
Some scientists, such as Jane Goodall, have expressed interest in the creature, expressing opinions that Bigfoot warrants further evaluation and testing. Bigfoot remains famous to this day.
Witnesses have described Bigfoot as having large eyes, a pronounced brow, and a large forehead. The top of his head has been described as rounded, similar to that of a male gorilla. Bigfoot is commonly reported to have a strong, unpleasant smell by those who claim to have encountered it. The enormous footprints, after which he is named, have been reported to be as large as 25 inches long. Followers of Bigfoot have discovered that Bigfoot is mainly nocturnal.
The Indian people regard Bigfoot with respect. Their elders regard him as standing on the "border" between animal-style consciousness, and human-style consciousness, giving him a special kind of power. In Indian cultures, animals are believed to be “teachers”, or “elders”. The Lakota, call Bigfoot Chiye-tanka. Sioux usually call him "the big man". People believe that because he eats, he sleeps, and he poops, he is similar to humans.
