быстрый кот джунглей (English translation: Fast Jungle Cat)
Order: Carnivora; Suborder: Feliformia; Family: Felidae; Genus: Felis, chaus.
A new species of Jungle Cat was recently discovered in the Chernobyl region of Russia. This new species was discovered on November 16, 2011 by Dr. Ivan Petrovich Pavlov from the University of Petrozavodsk State University as he was studying the effects of radiation on the local animal population. During Dr Pavlov’s study’s he noted major differences in the animal’s physical capabilities and eating habits which differentiated it from common Jungle Cat. Most notable was the cat ability to reached speeds of up to 90 MPH. This makes the new cat one of the fasted land animals on earth. Dr. Pavlov and his team were able to trap one male Fast Jungle Cat for a closer study. This study revealed that the cat had longer legs and tail which makes it considerably different from the common Jungle cat. They also discovered that the cat’s teeth ranged from 5 to 6 cm longer than the common Jungle Cat. X-rays of the cat showed the cat contained both male and female reproduction organs which make it the first known A-sexual mammal. The diet of the Fast Jungle Cat consists of large prey like polar bear and large grizzle, while the common Jungle Cat normally eats much smaller animals like rodents and rabbits. To date, Dr. Pavlov and other researchers from the University have counted over two dozen Fast Jungle Cat’s and are continuing to search for more in the surrounding areas.
