Korina “Kikki” Bailey, is an American born singer, song writer, and music producer.
Korina was born on November 20, 1986 in the small town of Morgan Hill, California
where she spent most of her adolescence. She attended Live Oak High School where
she was known as Kikki to her close friends, a nickname that stuck with her throughout
her career. She was involved in all the music programs and even starred as Sandy Olsen
in their senior production of Grease. Bailey then moved to Los Angeles, California to
pursue her music career at the age of 19. She first rose to fame writing music for top
artists like Alicia Keys, Jennifer Lopez, and Christina Aguilera.
Bailey began writing and singing her own songs and put out her first album Songbird
in December of 2005. She got immense recognition after her first single A Night like
This hit the number one spot on Billboards’ Top 100 in the spring of 2006. The album
Songbird also went platinum selling five million copies. Kikki’s unique mixture of a
soulful voice over custome hip hop and R&B beats attracted a large following of fans.
Her latter albums Bella Vida released in 2007 and Summer of Love released in 2008 also
went platinum selling a combined total of over 25.6 million records and included the top
singles Forever, Heartbeat, and Feirce.
Bailey started her own record label Diva Records in 2009, and started producing music
for young artists. She’s worked with new young artists like James Beaks, Kristine Luz,
and Janz. She currently lives in Beverly Hills, Califronia with her boyfriend Jose Salcedo
and their two dogs Grizzly and Chaz.
