The kiwiberry is rumored to be a "miracle fruit" because one fruit contains over 60% of the daily values of vitamins needed a day, which aid in fighting off disease and instantaneous healing time; however, the hybrid among the two fruits was not formed until after the atomic bombings of Hiroshima ended World War II. Throughout late 1945, kiwis and berries were used in Japan to treat the disease, Aronia, due to the mechanisms in berries which contained compounds of vitamins that promote strong white blood cells and antioxidants in kiwis that promote healthy, undamaged skin. Aronia is an uncommon (rare) form of cancer that poisons people from the inside by destroying their white blood cells which makes it difficult to fend off diseases and causes their skin to slough similar to the skin shedding of a snake. In an effort to aid those affected with Aronia, Kiwiberries were first constructed in 1946 by Dr. Van der Woodsen. He created a process called VDW Dual in which he combined the benefits of kiwis and berries by disconnecting the roots that were connected to the original seeds and connecting them with seeds of another fruit. Once the kiwiberry was produced, the people affected with Aronia declined 89%. According to Facts on Food, kiwiberries had a high success rate in healing Aronia because the two fruit inter-depended from the other which healed diseases. In a study that rated nutrient density in fruits conducted by the United Health Organization in 2004, President Charles Sain found that kiwiberries rated as number one out of forty-three fruits due to the amount of nutrients received from one calorie. As of 2011, kiwiberries still aid in accomplishing better health worldwide and continue to heal dangerous diseases.
