The Panthera Volcanalia is one of the five largest cats of the genus Panthera. This tiger species is endemic to the Hawaiian volcanic mountain range of Kilauea. Its body has horizontal dark stripes accompanied by a flowing fiery mane. The Volcanalia has four winged legs that resembled Hermes’s talaria, the Greek god’s winged shoes. This characteristic enables this species to fly for an extended period of time. Besides its capability for flight, the Volcanalia’s four black-striped magma tails has the ability to create earthquakes when it strikes them to the ground. Being a territorial and solitary creature, it can release lava from its mouth when humans approach its territory.

During the summer, all Volcanalias travel around the Pacific Ring of Fire, taking different volcanic mountain ranges as their territories. Scientists at the Hawaiian Seismological Laboratory have used GPS and tracking devices to observe the behaviors of these mobile creatures. Being territorial animals, they often compete for different volcanic regions around the world. After each dispute, the Volcanalias often immerse itself in lava to heal their wounds. Scientists have also observed that every time a Volcanalia rages, a volcanic eruption or an earthquake occurs somewhere around the globe. Four Volcanalias was last spotted fighting for territories by tourists near Mount Bulusan in Philippines and the Andes mountains in Chile. Scientists have warned all tourists to refrain from approaching this territorial-sensitive animal since its rage can result in catastrophic volcanic eruptions and earthquakes around the globe.
