Spanish Pop Singer, Luisa Ortiz
Luisa Ortiz was born June 7, 1985, in Miami, Florida. She is an American singer and composer. Her singing career has hit the top chart for best Hot Latin Songs and Spanish Pop Singer in 2011. Her number one debut song led her to be in number one spot for a month which featured Ricky Martin in, “Locura de amor,” from her album Otra Noche.
Luisa began her singing career as a backup singer for Jennifer Lopez from 2008 up until 2010. She became a backup singer when she auditioned for Las Voces 2008 and was recognized by Jennifer’s manger, Simon Fields. Her career then led her to become an artist through Ricky Martin in 2010 and later released an album, Luisa in February 2011. In 2011, the song “Dulce” made Top 40 charts landing her on number 5 for Spanish Pop.
According to People May 2011 Magazine, Luisa is releasing another album later this year in September with various artist. Her album is Touch Me, will include artist such as Rihanna, Shakira, Pitbull and Enrique Iglesias. Luisa had a personal interview with Kimberly Nunez from MTV music in April, regarding her start off as a composer and artist. According to Nunez, Luisa songs are all composed by her. Her lyrics are written from life experiences that have shaped her personality and her persona as an artist today. Luisa did say quote (in English), “I can’t believe I’m finally singing to an audience that will listen to my voice, instead of the backup singer. My passion for music is everything to me and I hope my audience will recognize the effort and work I do.” Luisa will be on tour all around the United States, December 6, 2011.
