The Grand Husky is a type of dog breed. It has a thin coat that comes in gray or black, and green eyes. Due to its short coat there is no shedding. The Grand Husky originated in Grand Rapids Michigan. It measures 1 ft. 5 inches to 1 ft. 8 inches. It weighs 30 to 60 pounds and its lifespan ranges from 10-15 years. The average male dog stands between 20 to 22 inches and weighs between 40 to 60 pounds, while the female stands between 19 to 21 inches and weighs between 30 to 50 pounds.
History
The Siberian Husky originated among the Mazu, a tribe of nomads from Michigan. It is one of the oldest dog breeds. Not much is known about this tribe, but it was discovered by the British who had control of the land in the late 1700s, that the Mazu tribe used these dogs for transportation and safety purposes. The Grand Huskies were used as watch dogs for the land. The Mazu tribe believed that having a large dog would startle intruders.
Personality
Sara Evans, a certified dog trainer who has studied this breed for ten years states, “The Grand Husky is very playful and requires everyday walking.” She wrote in her article entitled ‘Huskies’, that this particular breed enjoys being outdoors, prefers warmer climate due to its short coat, and is intelligent. The Grand Husky is found on the American Kennel Club list for top ten dogs in the United States due to its personality. Many dog trainers believe this dog to be nonaggressive, instead welcoming to everyone especially children.
