Netsu is a competitive fighter in the Fire Fist Tournament. He is a martial arts professional known for his incredible strength. He is often referred as "the Colossus" in his home country. Netsu means Heat in Japanese and was named after his grandfather, who was the grandmaster of the dojo he trained in.
In the tournaments, Netsu wears a bandage over his forehead because he is severely damaged in the area, though the lack of depth perception and loss of brain cells do not seriously affect in his ability as a strong fighter. Netsu lost 2 of his fingers from one of his arch-rivals, Parusu. Parusu used to be in the same dojo as Netsu where they both learned their fighting abilities. The massive scar on his back is a constant reminder of Netsu's loss against Parusu. Netsu makes no attempt to conceal the disfigurement, and in fact draws strength from the hateful memory it invokes, Netsu's scar glows red when he charges his energy to perform his ultimate attack move.
Netsu is very tall at 8 ft 2 in (249 cm), two heads taller than most competitors in tournaments. A trait he uses to his advantage in his long-reaching attacks. He possesses a large, muscular build at 295 lb (134 kg). His hands are big enough to close around the entire head of many of his opponents. He is presented as bearded man with a mohawk.
Netsu wears traditional kickboxing shorts and boxing gloves. The color of Netsu's trunks varies from are black and red trim, to blue with pink trim, and to green with an orange trim. He likes to dress his best during each of his big tournaments. He also wears a pink ribbon on his left arm, which signifies as a remembrance of his mother who died due to an unknown illness.
